Clickbank Scams? Which Clickbank Products to Not Promote!

clickbank-scams

I’ve been working with clickbank since about 2008. I’ve been on both sides as a clickbank affiliate and as a clickbank vendor (digital product seller). Out of all ways I’ve made money, I’ve made the most with clickbank. However, there are some clickbank scams that I must warn you about.

A lot of the products on clickbank are legit and can genuinely help its users. However, there are some products that I highly advise affiliate marketers new and old to stay away from.

Clickbank Scam Products

Stay away from promoting forex, penny stocks, binary options, gambling and other related things. Sure these are high commission products, but they also have extremely high refund rates. Here are my results from promoting a binary options trading system on clickbank.

I’ve generated nine sales and out of those nine, five have already requested a refund. That’s a refund rate of 55%.

I’ve even purchased and tried a bunch of these products (yes I got sucked into the hype and wanted to see if I can make money with these systems myself). And every single system I’ve tested from forex to binary options trading, are all complete scams. The majority of these products if not all, just don’t work.

What are Good Clickbank Products to Promote as an Affiliate?

I have the most success with health & beauty products, fitness, software, selfhelp, and legitimate work from home clickbank products.

Again, don’t get suckered into the high commissions from these betting/investing type of products.

I will never promote them again.

    1. I think everyone loses with these types of products, the customers lose, affiliates lose, and the vendors will also lose. With all the complaints and refunds, I am not sure how these vendors are not terminated by clickbank yet.

  1. Scams, rip offs, frauds: they are the constant in online marketing.

I have been a CB product affiliate and product buyer, and have bought some of those “shiny objects”, too.

As a product and service affiliate, one of the things that I am always looking for is that the product and service I am offering is legitimate, honest and beneficial for the buyer.

Some time ago CB placed more strict rules for vendors to reduce those scammy products and services offers. It can only reduce them, since most vendors have found ways to skip the rules, like those famous disclaimers and TOS that are hard to read, and that, anyway, most people don’t read.

Now, I understand that most of those vendors are using the China based ClickSure and ClickBest processors.

I am building a review site with my experiences, good and bad, on online products and services, to help reduce how many people will be scammed.

I say “reduce” because many people, specially newbies, won’t believe you when you tell them about these products and services, they are still looking for the “magical one click to overnight riches button”.

Usually, the people that will believe you are those that have gone through the experience of being through scams, rip offs, and fraud programs. Many will consider online marketing unsafe and dangerous and will quit for good. These people don’t understand that in the “real” world, brick and mortar offline world, happens exactly the same thing.

Leon, thank you for your support in this area, I bought your “Penny Per Click” WSO and I am working on it.

    Your friend,
